Them: You've changed!!!

Me: I sure did!!!

Most of the time, when comments like this are made, it is because a person has discovered that they can no longer get what they want from you. They are no longer able to manipulate you, play on your emotions, disrespect you, or entangle you in their web anymore. Evolution has come!!

While I don't believe in evolution in the traditional sense of the word, as in the scientific view that the human race evolved from apes, I do think that we all should evolve into better versions of ourselves. We should be continually growing, and learning where we messed up so that we can do our best not to repeat the same mistakes. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I refuse to subscribe to a cycle of doing or accepting the same things. And if that means I have to hear "You've Changed" attached to a demeaning tone, then so be it!
